Join our investigational web based course: Transposing Sound to Character

Sight is our primal sense, if we have all senses intact. But sound is next; an important sensory input, often ignored or treated without much reflection.

Please sign up for the workshop before October 1st 10:00 am (Norwegian time) to be part of the workshop. A zoom address will then be available for workshop participants.

WORKSHOP CONTENT
Learn how to record sound with your phone and and more complex recording devices. You will learn basic audio editing and processing on your computer. Remote attendance should have a functional computer with Reaper installed, stable connection and headphones.

Rhode Island students can participate in afternoon sessions and we tried to schedule considering that.

FIRST WRITING TASK
In your near environment; do active listening exercises. What sounds are near you? What can be heard in a distance? Listen attentively and try to formulate this in a short essay. Write 1,5 pages Times New Roman 12 pkt or ca 500 words describing these exercises in a sensory oriented language.
