Are you interested in hosting master's students from the Biomedical Sciences program in your research project? If so, please fill out this form bellow. Students will work on their master's projects throughout the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. On November 26 or 27, we will organize an event where students can meet potential supervisors. If you're interested in presenting your project, you may choose between a 5-minute oral presentation, a poster presentation, or both. Please submit the form by October 26, 2025. Supervisor requirements: 1. The main supervisor must have a PhD, and as a general rule, hold a permanent scientific position at The Faculty of Medicine, UiB. 2. As a general rule, the number of supervisors pr. master student should not exceed two . 3. Temporary scientific staff may be the main supervisor, but the employment period must cover the master student’s project period. If the main supervisor is not permanently employed, the PI of the research group to which the main supervisor belongs should act as co-supervisor (at least 25% commitment). Externally funded temporary staff must clear with their funding agency that the supervision duty is accepted within the terms of the grant. 4. Post-docs should only be the main supervisor of one master student at a time, and co-supervisor for maximum two students at the same time. 5. PhD students cannot act as main supervisors, but may act as co supervisor (25%) for up to one student at a time. The PI of the group should then be the main supervisor. Temporary employed scientists cannot be main supervisor when a PhD student is co-supervisor. 6. The main supervisor’s employment period must cover the whole period of the master student’s project. The co-supervisor’s employment period should normally cover the whole project period. 7. At all times, it is the permanent scientific employee who has ultimate responsibility for the supervision process (regardless of whether he/she is main or co supervisor). This becomes relevant if the temporary employed supervisor does not fulfill his/her duties satisfactorily. Have any question, please contact toma.christako@uib.no
