Access to MIC storage: MIC_TempStore

MIC_TempStore is a UiB storage location (server) with backup and is connected to MIC's instruments. You log on with your UiB credentials.
If you don't have access to and can't map to another UiB storage location (like your research group's own server), you can use this for temporary storage of your data.
The data must be moved from MIC_TempStore to your own permanent storage as soon as you finish analyzing the data through MIC-provided services (Aivia, Imaris). If you don't use analysis software provided by MIC, the data should be removed immediately.

On MIC_TempStore, you have to store your data in a folder with your name on this format "Last name_First name_affiliation" (Johnsen_John_IBM). Be aware that all users with access to the MIC_TempStore will be able to access all the folders.

If you work with software provided by MIC, such as AIVIA and IMARIS, the data must be temporarily stored on the local computer where the software is installed. You may move data back and forth on the MIC_TempStore while working on the analysis. When finished, all data, including the analyzed data, must be removed from the local computer via MIC_TempStore to your own storage solution.
