What type of dissemination activities do you have? *

The following requirements must be met in order to achieve approval of academic dissemination (3-5 credits):
• Participation in at least one national or international conference with presentation of results from own research.
• Participation in activities from at least two different categories. (E.g. the combination of one international/national conference and one popular science article of at least 1,000 words, within your own academic discipline, will qualify as approved academic dissemination. On the other hand, participation in two conferences, and no other dissemination activities, will not qualify for approved academic dissemination).

National conference
Description and documentation of activities:

Requirements:
1. To be approved as a national conference, the conference must include lecturers and participants from different institutions.
2. Presentation at the «Forskningsdagene (NRC)» can be included.
3. National conferences abroad are considered National conferences.
4. Different elements from the PhD project must be presented. An identical submission presented on several occasions will only count once, unless presented both as a poster and an oral presentation.

International conference

1. In order to be approved as an international conference, the conference must draw both international participants and lecturers from a number of countries.
2. Different elements from the PhD project must be presented. An identical submission presented on several occasions will only count once, unless presented both as a poster and an oral presentation. Please use UiB logo on presentations and posters.

Lecture/Seminar

Requirements:
1. Lectures given at internal meetings or events (at UiB or the candidate's workplace) cannot be approved as an original lecture.
2. The Lecture cannot, at the same time, be a part of the Duty work.
3. Only 1 credit is given per session even if it is a double session.

Popular science Articles/feature article

The dissemination activity cannot form a basis for admission or form part of the thesis.
