The greatest threat to global public health is the continued failure of world leaders to keep the global increase in temperature below 1.5°C and to restore nature. Urgent, society-wide changes must be made, that will lead to a fairer and healthier world. The editorial “Call for Emergency Action to Limit Global Temperature Increases, Restore Biodiversity, and Protect Health” was published simultaneously in many medical scientific journals in September 2021. The organisers of ECTMIH-2021 support this initiative and call for governmental and other leaders to act. If you would like to join in and support the call, please add your name below. The list will be put on the FESTMIH webpages after the Congress. This way we visualize the importance of this global situation.
